Sports activities:

All the basic facilities for the game like cricket, volley ball, basket ball, table tennis, kho-kho, chess, weight lifting and athletics etc are available at the university level which is shared by students of all the faculties. Play ground, indoor stadium are also available for the use of the students.


NSS activity:

National Service Scheme has been made compulsory for all the students of College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry for two professional years. This unit of NSS was received as “Best NSS Unit” and Programme Officer Dr. B. B. Javia was awarded “Best Programme Officer Award” by Govt. of Gujarat.   During the year 2018-19 a special camp was organized at adopted village Khadia, Tal; Junagadh, Dist.; Junagadh, Gujarat from 28/01/2019 to 03/02/2019. In this camp total 42 volunteers participated from this college. Various social activities were carried out during the camp Viz; Animal deworming camp, Painting competition, Cleanliness drive, Helping hand to specially abled children, shramdan, sparrow conservation, yoga, personality development ect. by involving rural people and youth. The Programme Coordinator (NSS) visited the camp and appreciated the work carried out by volunteers.  This unit also conducts the various regular activities with social themes and social responsibility. One Volunteer, Mr. Rokad Hardik got first rank at District level and third rank at State level in “Swachhtathon Competition” held by Government of India. Ten NSS volunteers of this college also represented the Gujarat state at National Integration Camp held at Manglore, Karnataka.  Dr. P. H. Tank, Principal and Dean, Veterinary College provided through guidance, help and support throughout the year to bring the NSS at new height

Cultural Activity:

Students are participating in different cultural and literary activities like drama, mime, mono acting, folk dance, debate, elocution essay writing etc through year in inter-semester, inter-college, inter-university and National youth festival regularly. 

Anti-Raging cell:

વિવિધશૈક્ષણીક સંસ્થાઓમાં સ્નાતક અને અનુસ્નાતક કક્ષાએ અભ્યાસ કરતા સીનીયર વિધાર્થીઓ દ્વારા જુનિયર વિધાર્થીઓને થતા રેગીંગને અટકાવવા માટે સર્વોચ્ચ અદાલતે આપેલા નિર્દેશ અનુસાર અત્રેની મહાવિધ્યાલયમાં રેગીંગનુ દુષણ અટકાવવાના હેતુસર એન્ટીરેગીંગકમીટીની રચના કરવામાં આવે છે. સદર કમીટીએ નામદાર સર્વોચ્ચ અદાલતના માર્ગદર્શક સિધ્ધાંતો મુજબ આ કામગીરી કરવાની રહેશે.

Gender Champion Club:

It is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Human Resource Development. Gender Champions are responsible leaders who facilitate an enabling environment with in the college where girls are treated with dignity and respect. Gender Champions can be both boys and girls and two Gender Champions are selected every year. Gender Champion Club was inaugurated in the college on 2nd April 2016. Under the leadership of Gender Champions with the guidance of Nodal Teacher, different programmes to promote gender equality are organized every year. Programmes organized by gender champions include Drawing Competition, Speech on ‘Gender equality’,Debate Competition and celebration of ‘International Women’s day’, Mahila Krushi Divas, Expert Talk etc
