Activities Organized during 2015-16 :
NSS Regular activities :
  1. Thalassemia screening and blood grouping camp organized for the newly admitted students in all the Colleges and Polytechnics of Junagadh Agricultural University during 9th & 10th September, 2015.
  2. District level NSS Workshop held at Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh  during 31st July to 2nd August 2015 as per the instructions and guidelines  of Commissioner, Higher Education, Gandhinagar and Regional Head, NSS, Ahmedabad, in the campus Auditorium, Junagadh.  The District level NSS workshop was conducted for all four Agricultural Universities of Gujarat and Ayurved University.
  3. Youth convention was organized as a part of Silver Jubilee Celebration of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) New Delhi on 2-5 June, 2015. In this National level Convention two  Post Graduate students Mr. Akula Venu and Ms. Divya C. of College of Agriculture, JAU, Junagadh participated in the Elocution competition organized on June 2, 2015.
  4. The Armed Forces Flag Day observed on 7th December, every year to honor the valiant and martyrs soldiers and renew our solidarity with Armed Force personnel. The Collector and District Magistrate Junagadh had given the target to JAU, Junagadh to collect and donate Rs.50,000/- for the welfare fund. The NSS units collected the fund of Rs.73,560/-from all constituent Colleges, Polytechnics, Research Centers and Krushi Vigyan Kendra for the welfare of families of the martyrs and severely injured soldiers.
  5. As a part of  "Van Mahotsav" on 10-08-2015 a tree plantation programme was arranged at University Farm. The tree plantation programme was initiated by Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. A.R. Pathak, in the presence of  Dr. A.V. Barad, Principal & Dean, College of Agriculture, Dr. P.V. Patel, Programme Co-ordinator and Director, Students' Welfare ,Dr. B.K. Sagarka Head of Department (Agronomy), Dr. K.H. Dabhi, Reserach Scientist, Dr. K.L. Dobaria, Research Scientist, Dept. of Oil Seeds, Dr. M.S. Pithiya, Research Scientist, Chick pea,and staff joined in tree plantation programme. Under this programme  500 sapling of Mango shall be palnted include 400 saplings of Kesar and 100 saplings of other Mango species. An oath was also taken by the Officers and staff for maintenance of planted saplings.
  6. Ten NSS Volunteer (5 male and 5 Female) from the College of Veterinary Science & A. H., Junagadh participated in the National Integration Camp during 7th & 13th December, 2015 at College of Agriculture, Vijyapuram (Old name Bijapur), Karnataka Agricultural University, Dharwad(Karnataka).
  7. Blood donation camp was organized by  Junagadh Agricultural University in collaboration with HDFC Bank on 9th December, 2015. During this camp 86 units of blood donated  by NSS volunteers and the farmers of ATMA Project. Shri  Viren Mansata, Operation Head, HDFC Bank, Junagadh
  8. General health check and diagnosis camp for all the girls students of Junagadh campus organized on September, 27th 2015 by Junagadh Agricultural University in collaboration with Junior Jaycee Wing of JCI, Junagadh.
  9. An Eye diagnosis camp for all the students of Junagadh Campus organized on 20th February, 2016 by the JAU, Junagadh in collaboration with Junior Jaycee Wing of JCI Junagadh and with Co-operation of Hatkesh Hospital, Junagadh in which 90 students were examined by eye health including detecting of vision.
  10. As per the guideline of Government of Gujarat a Woman Empowerment Fortnight was celebrated during 1st-14th August, 2015.
  11. With the Nobel efforts of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India it was made possible to declare June, 21st as International Day of Yoga by the United Nations. In order to celebrate this important event elaborated arrangementsviz; training to Staff and Students, registration of Staff and Students and other participants from Junagadh city was done by the Nodal Officer and Director of Students' Welfare Dr. P.V. Patel. On June 21st, 2015
  12. Fifty NSS volunteers of the College of Agril. Engg. & Tech., Junagadh participated in a one day camp on 7th February, 2016 at Ambershwar Ashram of village Kajaliyala and they carried out cleaning activities under Swachha Bharat Mission.
Other Activities :
  1. The NSS volunteers of the College of Veterinary, Junagadh participated in the Save birds campaign during 13, 14-01-2016 on Uttrayan to save and treat injured birds by kite flying. In this, activity NSS volunteer joined and were treated 130 birds.
  2. Three students namely Bhanderi Harsh M., Malaviya Bhargav V. of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and Ms. Deepashree Mandal of College of Agriculture, Junagadh participated in the State level Painting Competition held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on June 3, 2015.
  3. A full day carrier management seminar cum training on "Campus to Corporate (C2C)" arranged by Junagadh Agricultural University. in Collaboration with Dr. Mehul G. Thakkar, Asso. Prof. in HRM and University Placement Head, NAU, Navsari, on March 30, 2016 for the PG Students of College of Agriculture, Junagadh and College of Veterinary, JAU, Junagadh. In this programme 68 PG students of the same colleges were participated. A rally organized at Mangrol(port) for cleaning and avoiding addiction on 12th February, 2016 under Netfish organization working with Marine Product Export Development Authority. In this activity, 35 NSS volunteer of Fisheries College, Veraval participated and benefitted to 200 fishermen.
  4. A programme conducted on Pulse Polio eradication Campaign on 21st February, 2016 by Govt. Hospital, Veraval in which 28 NSS volunteer of the College of Fisheries participated under the guidance of Medical Officer, volunteers carried out this activity on 8 Polio Booth and applied Polio drops to 432 children.
  5. The NSS volunteers of Polytechnic in Horticulture, JAU, Junagadh participated in Yoga, Breathing, Meditation, Shatkarma, etc. as a part of Art of Living during 16th to 18th February, in which, 80 NSS volunteer were participated.
  6. As a part of the regular activity, a seminar conducted by Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry, JAU, Junagadh on "Human Value" in which all NSS volunteer paticipated.
  7. Thirteen students (7 boy+6 girl) from the College of Fisheries, Veraval participated in State level NSS day celebration during 11th to 13th January at V.N. South Gujarat University, Surat.
