The JAU Data Centre is the core digital hub supporting the University’s academic and administrative functions. Managed by the IT Cell, this facility features enterprise-grade servers and security hardware to ensure 24/7 operational continuity. To guarantee high availability, the centre utilizes a unique triple-source power architecture, integrating eco-friendly solar energy to provide a sustainable, secure, and uninterrupted technology environment.
 

High-Speed Internet Access and Network Connectivity

The Directorate of IT centrally manages a robust, high-speed network to ensure seamless digital access across all JAU campuses. With a total dedicated bandwidth of 1275 Mbps, we provide a stable and secure environment for research, education, and administration.

  • Primary Backbone (NKN): 1000 Mbps via RailTel, providing high-speed access to virtual classrooms, research databases, and national academic platforms.
  • Regional Connectivity (WAN): 225 Mbps dedicated to connecting 25 university sub-centres through a centrally managed Wide Area Network.
  • System Redundancy: A 50 Mbps BSNL standby line ensures uninterrupted service and operational continuity.
  • State Integration: Connected via optical fiber to the Gujarat State Wide Area Network (GSWAN) for seamless e-Governance services.

Our state-of-the-art Video Conference Room facilitates seamless global interaction, bridging geographical gaps for faculty, students, and stakeholders.
