Community radio stations are an emerging and developing new chapter in the existing community communication system. The United Nations (UNO) has called upon countries around the world to work towards disseminating information through this medium. The Indian government is showing greater awareness and commitment to this. The government has been encouraging the establishment of community radio stations to publicly express the voice of the community and thereby develop the community at the personal, social, economic, intellectual and educational levels. Efforts were initiated by the Vice Chancellor Dr. N. C. Patel to establish a community radio station at Junagadh Agricultural University. The equipment for this was purchased in 2013. After the continuous intensive efforts of Dr. A. R. Pathak, Vice Chancellor, the station was allocated a frequency and received a license for broadcasting. (April-2015). We have been receiving continuous guidance from the Director of Extension Education, Dr. A. M. Parakhia, to make the Community Radio Station operational as soon as possible and Broadcast programs
