Undergraduate (UG) Programme

B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

The College offers 135 seats for admission to the Undergraduate Programme.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) Examination in the Science stream with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from any statutory University/Board in Gujarat State or an examination recognized as equivalent by the University, or possess an equivalent OGPA.
  • Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Vocational Stream in Agriculture or the Higher Secondary Post-Basic Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects are also eligible.
  • English is a compulsory subject, and candidates must have appeared in the GUJCET examination of the current year.
  • A weightage of 5% is given to candidates who are sons/daughters/ brothers/sisters/grandsons/granddaughters of farmers.
  • A weightage of 5% is also given for the Agriculture subject to candidates from the Higher Secondary Vocational Stream in Agriculture.

Postgraduate (PG) Programmes

The number of PG students to be admitted shall be decided by a committee comprising the Dean, Registrar, Director of Research, and the Dean of Postgraduate Studies (Chairman), based on the availability of infrastructure, faculty competence, vacancies, and intake capacity of PG teachers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible applicants must appear for the entrance test and interview at their own cost.
  • For admission to the M.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Horticulture) degree programme, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with an OGPA of not less than 6.00 (10-point scale) or its equivalent, both in aggregate and in the relevant field of study.
  • For admission to the Ph.D. programme, candidates must possess a Master’s degree with an OGPA of not less than 6.50 (10-point scale) or its equivalent.
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and SEBC categories are eligible for:
    • Master’s degree programmes with a minimum OGPA of 5.50
    • Ph.D. programmes with a minimum OGPA of 6.00
