Brief Profile
Dr. Jasmee R. Patel is an accomplished academic and researcher in Plant Pathology, with a strong background in teaching, research, and scientific outreach. She completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture from Anand Agricultural University and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University. She qualified ASRB-ICAR NET in 2018. Her research expertise includes plant disease epidemiology, disease management, fungicide bio-efficacy and phytotoxicity, and integrated disease management, with significant work on groundnut Tikka disease, cumin blight and powdery mildew, and potato diseases. Her research has contributed to scientific recommendations for cumin disease management. Alongside research and teaching, Dr. Jasmee actively contributes to farmer-oriented scientific outreach through lectures and television programmes. She is also an inventor of an IoT-based device for predicting the quality of anaerobic in-vessel compost. Her academic contributions include research papers, books, book chapters, popular articles, patents, and scientific recommendations published and recognized at national and international levels.
