College of Agriculture, Jamnagar

With a forward-thinking vision, the College of Agriculture, JAU, Jamnagar, initiated its operations in 2025, offering a residential four-year degree course, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, approved by the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Gujarat State. The college has an intake capacity of 33 students, including those from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). In line with the 6th Dean’s Committee recommendations of ICAR, New Delhi, innovative courses have been introduced from the academic year 2025-26.

The college aims to meet the emerging demands of the agrarian economy by producing a skilled young workforce proficient in advanced agricultural technologies. We are committed to providing high-quality education alongside all necessary amenities for students. A dedicated team of faculty members in various agricultural disciplines is working together to ensure the delivery of top-tier education. Special emphasis is also placed on student counselling, with a focus on fostering personal growth and overall development.

To further enhance the student experience, the college has established hostel facilities for both boys and girls in Targhadia. These hostels are equipped with all necessary amenities, including comfortable lodging, clean and spacious rooms, security, recreational facilities, and a dedicated mess providing nutritious meals. The accommodation is designed to foster a safe, supportive and community-driven environment for students, ensuring they can focus on their academic and personal development while staying in a comfortable and convenient setting.
