All-India 29th Position for Junagadh Agricultural University in India Today University Rankings 2026

In the latest edition of MDRA-India Today Rankings 2026, released on August 6, 2026, Junagadh Agricultural University improved its ranking and was bestowed with the All-India 29th position among the Top General Government Universities in the country. JAU has consistently improved its ranking from 31st position in 2024 to 30th position in 2025 to 29th position in 2026 at the national level. In the latest rankings, JAU scored an overall score of 996 out of 2000.

The universities were evaluated on the following five parameters: (i) Reputation & Governance; (ii) Academic & Research Excellence; (iii) Infrastructure & Living Experience; (iv) Personality & Leadership Development; and (v) Career Progression & Placement.

Among the parameters evaluated for ranking, JAU, with a score of 138.7, was ranked 10th at All-India level in Career Progression and Placement. In a similar vein, JAU improved its performance at all other parameters as well.

Dr. V. P. Chovatia, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, appreciated the efforts of all the teaching faculty and research scientists for achieving this national level accolade, and encouraged all to work in tandem to bring many more laurels to the university.
