The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (CAET), Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), received a ₹6 lakh grant from the Education Department, Government of Gujarat, under the SSIP 2.0 Policy for 2026–27. Of this amount, ₹4,49,400 was allocated to 13 student projects: 11 Proof of Concept projects and two Design Registration projects.
CAET held a grant sanction letter ceremony on 25 September 2026 in its seminar hall. Sanction letters were presented to the student beneficiaries in the presence of Dr. V. P. Chovatia, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor; Dr. A. G. Pansuriya, Director of Research; Dr. Y. H. Ghelani, Registrar; Dr. H. C. Chhodavadia, In-charge Director of Extension Education; Dr. R. M. Solanki, Director of Students’ Welfare; and Dr. K. C. Patel, Principal and Dean, CAET and Director of IT, JAU.
Dr. Chovatia spoke with the students about their projects and ideas. He appreciated their efforts, encouraged them to pursue research, innovation and entrepreneurship, and wished them success. CAET faculty members, staff and first-year B.Tech. students also attended the ceremony.
