CAET Welcomes New Students at Deeksharambh 2026 : Orientation Programme
The “Deeksharambh – Orientation Programme” for newly admitted First Semester students was organized on 25 September 2026 at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. The programme was graced by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. V. P. Chovatia as President of the function, along with distinguished University Officers and dignitaries. Dr. K. C. Patel, Principal and Dean, CAET, welcomed the dignitaries and students and emphasized academic excellence, practical learning, innovation, discipline and holistic development. Dr. Y. H. Ghelani, Registrar and Dr. A. G. Pansuriya, Director of Research addressed and motivated the students, while Dr. R. M. Solanki, Director of Student Welfare and Dr. H. C. Chhodavadia, In-charge Director of Extension also graced the occasion.
A key highlight was the launch of “Krishi Maharathi – A Farmer Talent Hunt Initiative,” aimed at strengthening the connection among students, innovative farmers and the University.
In his presidential address, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. V. P. Chovatia inspired the students to pursue their academic journey with dedication, discipline, curiosity and innovation.
Notably, the entire programme was planned, organized and hosted by the First Semester students, providing them an opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, responsibility, confidence and leadership from the very beginning of their university journey.
