Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh has been selected as a Regional Innovation Cell (RIC) for the West Coast & Sorath Zone under the Savli Technology & Business Incubator initiative of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The sanction letter was received at the GInTech Conclave 2026 held on 04 November 2026 at GIFT City Club, Gandhinagar, in the presence of Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia and Director, STBI, Dr. Anand N. Bhadalkar. This achievement was appreciated by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. V. P. Chovatia; Registrar, Dr. Y. H. Ghelani and Director of Research (JAU) & Director (JAU Incubation Foundation), Dr. A. G. Pansuriya. The RIC will be led by the Principal & Dean (CAET), Institutional Coordinator & Director (JAUIF), Dr. K. C. Patel and Assistant Professor (CAET) & Deputy Coordinator (RIC), Dr. C. S. Matholiya along with other Incubation Members. This is an important opportunity to strengthen the regional innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, particularly among studetns, researchers and aspiring agripreneurs.
