ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

• Students qualified for application who cleared 10^th exam from GSEB or CBSE with compulsory subject of English and Basic Math in Gujarat state
• Provision of additional 5 % weightage for son/daughter of farmer family.
• Provision of reservation for caste categories as per rules and guideline laid down by GOG.
• Admission is common for all Polytechnics in Agriculture on totally merit basis and its process facility available on jau.in and poly.gsauca.in

FEE STRUCTURE

• Annually Rs. 1860/- for boy students and Rs. 1340 for girl students
• Girls students exempted from education and hostel fees.

SCHOLARSHIPS

• Facility provided to all students for obtaining post metric Scholarship for the students of SC / ST / SEBC and MYSY as per Govt. rules. Majority students got scholarship every year.

BASIC FACILITIES

• College Building: Individual class room for students of each semester with well equipped of computer, LCD and CCTV camera.
• Hostel: Facility of separate hostels for boys and girls with Wi-Fi connectivity, water cooler, refrigerator, LED TV, fire safety, Food mesh etc. Warden and CCTV camera are available for monitor and look after of the residential students.
• Other facilities: Bank, Post Office, Guest house are available at campus
• Placement Cell: Well structured placement cell is available. Many companies arrived in campus for personnel interviews in April-May month of every year.

CO-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES

• Educational tour: Arranged 10 days educational tour in every year for students of final year in purpose of personal visit to research station, academic institutes & KVKs of SAUs and agro-based industries of Gujarat.
• NSS: As per funding and directives of government, one week special camp at village for awareness and exposure of social and agriculture activities in practical way. Additionally, regular awareness programme and activities like Human health, Environment day, Road safety, Teacher day, Essay Writing, Swasta Abhiyan, Elocution, Drawing competition, Thalassemia screening, farmers day etc.
• Sports: At University level & SAUs level competition of Games viz., Badminton, Table Tenis, Kho-kho, Vollyboll. And also competition of Athletics viz., 100,200,400m run, 100x4 relay, long jump, short put, disc throw at University level organized every year for students of polytechnic.

SCOPE

• Government Job: Agriculture Assistant/ Gram sevak in State Agricultural Universities, Government line department of Agriculture, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, District panchayat, Gujarat Seed corporation, Municipal corporation and other agriculture related institutes.
• Private Job: Field Assistant/Marketing Officer in private companies related to Seed, Fertilizer, Pesticide, Herbicide, Fungicide, Bioagent, Bio-control appliances, Micro-irrigation.
• Private Personnel Business: Qualified for seeking license for marketing of Seed, Fertilizer and Pesticide by own Agro. Centre. Student able to start own business /start up on Bio-fertilizer/bio-agent unit, Seed production Unit, Agro-Processing unit, Nursery, Apiculture, Mushroom cultivation, Vermi/farm waste compost unit, Farm produced storage & foreign export unit under financial assistance of government scheme.
• Higher Study: Provision of D2D (Diploma to Degree) program for passed out students of polytechnic study in SAUs of Gujarat. Also, State Government made provision of issuing 12^th passed equivalent certificate from GSHSB, Gandhinagar for passed out students of polytechnic to take admission in professional degree courses like B. Sc., B. Com., B. A., BCA etc.
