College Campus

The College of Horticulture, Junagadh, can be found on the outskirts of the city, approximately 3 km from the Railway station. The area is widely known as Motibag, named after the historic garden. Motibag was founded by Nawab Mahabat Khan II of Junagadh State in the 19th century, serving as a royal pleasure garden and fruit orchard.

Currently, this vibrant, green area functions as the perfect academic environment for the college, offering students a living laboratory for their studies in pomology, floriculture, and landscape design. The rich horticultural legacy of the area, originating from the Nawab's vision, significantly impacts the college's identity and hands-on training. As a result, students engage in advanced agricultural science amidst the very history that has influenced the region's relationship with the land. This distinctive location connects Junagadh's royal history with its contemporary role as a hub for agricultural education and innovation.
