Dr. Harsukh P. Gajera is a Professor and Head in the Department of Biotechnology and Biochemistry at Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh, Gujarat, with over 31 years of experience in agricultural research, and teaching. His major research interests include agricultural nanotechnology, green synthesis of nanoparticles, nano-nutrients, nano-biosensors, microbial biotechnology, molecular markers, plant stress physiology, food biochemistry, functional foods, and nutritional quality of agricultural produce. He has published 122 research papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals, contributed 15 books and book chapters, and holds four patents at various stages. His research outputs have received over 2,300 citations, with an h-index of 27. He has submitted 64 sequence datasets to NCBI and guided 34 postgraduate students, including 16 Ph.D. scholars. He has contributed to seven externally funded research projects worth ₹20.24 crore and has received 11 academic and scientific awards and recognitions. He also contributes to NABL accreditation of laboratory, research guidance, and the advancement of sustainable agricultural biotechnology.
