The University Library possesses around 59885 books. These books are very valuable and helpful in studies, research and preparation for competitive examinations. Services:
Cyberary with 100 Mbps LAN connectivity facilitates users to access online database like J-Gate PLUS (Complete) online which has full text Journals. Commodities (CMIE) which as economical data, CAB ABSTRACT Our library has 1037 e-books, facility by ICAR for foreign Journals through Online Access of Journals through Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) and KRISHIKOSH are available as well as ONOS (One Nation One Subscription Facility by INFLIBNET is also Available ) and CD-ROM databases like CAB, AGRICOLA, AGRIS. The University Library is fully automized after the implementation of RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification System). Full time internet, scanning and CD writing facilities are available for the students in the Cyberary in which there are 40 work stations with internet access. These facilities are being extensively utilized by both faculty and students on an average of daily 50 to 300 users for about 12 hours per day. Since the year 2015, The Thakkar Memorial Trust has provided funding of Rupees 2.5 Lakh only to establish or support a BOOK BANK, aiming to facilitate access to educational materials for the students. This generous contribution helps students to issue necessary textbooks and educational resources (College wise on Rotation basis) for needy students who can borrow them, typically for the entire semester year. This year, 17 more books were purchased of Agriculture Engineering faculty for the Book bank and now 2592 Books were available in the Book bank. The Library runs through RFID with the software KOHA & LIBSYS.
The library renders its services to the users from 8:00 to 18:30 h. A separate Air Conditioned Reading Room is developed with the best facilities as well as good ventilation and aeration. This AC reading room accommodates approximately 120 students. The Reading Room remains open for its users from 8.00 to 23.00 hours on working days whereas 8.00 to 14.00 hours on holidays.
We are pleased to announce that our library has formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INFLIBNET Center. In addition, the library has established a dedicated Plagiarism Verification Office, which will facilitate plagiarism checks and issue authenticated plagiarism certificates to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students for theses.
