A group of 26 employees from Friends of Women’s World Banking, India (FWWB) visited the College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (CAET), Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), Junagadh, on 25 September 2026. The visit was organized with the objective of gaining insights into agricultural technologies and institutional initiatives supporting livelihood enhancement, financial inclusion, capacity building, and self-reliance among economically disadvantaged women. The visiting team was warmly welcomed by the Department of Agricultural Engineering Extension Education, CAET, JAU. During the visit, the participants were taken to the College Exhibition Hall, where they were briefed on the latest research and development activities, technological innovations, agricultural machinery, and extension initiatives undertaken by the college. The participants subsequently visited various facilities, including the Agricultural Drone Technology facility, Training and Testing Centre of Farm Machinery, and Water Conservation Structure (Plastic Dam). The visit provided them with practical exposure to modern agricultural technologies and their applications in farming and natural resource management. The scientists and project experts explained the functioning, applications and benefits of these innovative technologies, highlighting their role in promoting sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture.
