Undergraduates of Veterinary College, JAU, Junagadh participated in TANUVAS 11th Clinical Case Conference on “Farm and Companion Animal Practices” at Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, Chennai, India under IDP programme.

     Total four under graduate students of Veterinary College, JAU, Junagadh participated under IDP project for two days clinical case conference entitled“Farm and Companion Animal Practices” organised by Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, Chennai -600007, Tamilnadu, India on 30th – 31st August, 2019. The clinical case conference was about various clinical case presentation viz., Farm animal (Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology), Companion animal (Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology), Equine Clinical Practices, Exotic Animal Practices etc. From all over India around 500 under graduate students of various Veterinary Colleges participated and presented their clinical case reports. Out of four, two students had presented clinical case study in “Equine Clinical Practice” session, one in “Farm Animal Surgery” session and one in “Farm Animal Medicine” session.

    During and after the presentation the judges of their respective session made some valuable questions and suggestions regarding the clinical status of animal, diagnosis of clinical condition, therapeutic management and prognosis of respective clinical condition. The students justified their clinical case study presentations and also relevant questions put by juries.  At the end of the clinical case conference, certificates of participation were distributed and participants also appreciated for their excellent presentation.

     This unique annual event had been exclusively aimed at bringing together national and international veterinary students to learn, exchange ideas and also provide a platform to groom their professional skills that will be valuable for their future career. The conference definitely facilitates the effective use of evidence-based medicine as well as systematic approach to clinical problem solving thus, helping them to make the most from a professionally rewarding experience.
