The World Environment Day was celebrated at Conference hall, College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University on 05^th June 2025, Junagadh. Dr. P. D. Kumawat, Principal and Dean, as a President for the programme. Teachers, non-teaching staff as well as PG students of the NRM Group. Total 65 participants were present on this event. The programme began with a prayer for the environment followed by the prayer song. Participants at the event were welcomed by the Dr. P. K. Chovatia, Professor and Head, Agronomy and inspired the students with his valuable speech. He briefed the information about importance of environment day celebration and history of world environment day. 

Then Dr. P. D. Kumawat, Principal and Dean as a presidential remarks, shared information on the Environment day along with the facts of plastic pollution and the need for a holistic thinking while relating with the planet for save life. He also emphasized on plastic waste management and recycle or reuse of the plastic waste immediately after the use.

 Our Speaker, Prof. D. R. Vaghasiya, Assistant professor, Department of Agronomy delivered a special lecture on “Environment and Beat Plastic Pollution - Need of Earth”. Prof. Vaghasiya briefed about the solution to plastic pollution, case study’s and plastic resin codes. He mentioned causes and effects of plastic pollution.  He also urged all participants to work together for beat plastic pollution for the environment and especially for us (as human).

Then all the faculty and students raised their voice for took part to beat plastic pollution. Each and every one is responsible to protect and care for the environment.
