Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU), in collaboration with the Gujarat State University Staff Sports and Cultural Association, Ahmedabad, organized the Gujarat State Inter-University Staff Tournaments 2024-25. The event, held from December 25 to 28, 2024, at the JAU Sports Complex, comprised five sports: Cricket, Chess, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Volleyball.

     The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of JAU, Junagadh, Dr. V.P. Chovatia, inaugurated the tournament in the elegant presence of Sh. Hitesh Zala, Manager, Sales and Marketing, Teerth Agro Pvt. Ltd. Rajkot; Sh. M.D. Dabhi, Sales Executive, AGRICON NUTRITECH Ltd., Vadodara; Dr. V.R. Patel, President and other members of the Gujarat State University Staff Sports and Cultural Association, Ahmedabad;  and university dignitaries Dr. N.B. Jadav, Director Extension Education; Dr. R.B. Madariya, Director Research & Dean PG Studies; Dr. Y.H. Ghelani, Registrar. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 300 staff members representing 13 universities across Gujarat.

    The JAU team delivered commendable performances, securing the Runner-Up position in both Cricket and Badminton. The tournament concluded with a valedictory function held on December 28, 2024, celebrating the achievements and sportsmanship displayed throughout the event.
